Don McDade is a Private Wealth Advisor and Managing Advisor of the financial services firm Mosaic Wealth Consulting. Don has worked in the financial services industry since 1986. Mosaic Wealth Consulting is an ensemble operation of Private Wealth Advisors and support staff with complimentary specializations that allow them to support a full spectrum of financial, estate and business owner planning needs for their growing clientele.
Don has earned the following designations and certifications: CFP® certification (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification) from The CFP Board of Standards, CFS® (Certified Fund Specialist) from the Institute of Business and Finance, ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant®) and CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter®) and LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) and CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®) from the College for Financial Planning and AEP® (Accredited Estate Planner) from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.
Previous to his current position, he operated Pittsburgh-based financial services and investment operations for Principal Financial Group, Allmerica/VeraVest, Berkshire Life Insurance and The Equitable (AXA). He was one of eight recipients of the 2001 Paul S. Mills Scholarship awards that were established by the Society of Financial Services Professionals to acknowledge commitment to ethical practice, lifelong education and volunteerism. Mr. McDade was also awarded the Paul Harris Fellow award from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
He attended Rochester Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh and The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, where he earned a Master of Science in Management (MSM). He holds the Series 7, 24, 51, 63 and 65 registrations and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Estate Planning Council (EPC), Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP). He is a past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the SFSP and has fulfilled the requirements for (PACE), Professional Achievement for Continuing Education. He is also a Qualifying and Life Member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)1.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Don graduated from Edgewood High School. He is a member of Edgewood Country Club and resides in Wilkins Township with his wife Jackie. Don is an avid golfer and loves to follow the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pirates and Steelers.
